What will inspire you to recommend a book?
For me, its all about the feels. Did I feel something… joy, anger, laughter? Will it resonate with the person I am recommending it to? Did it make an impact on my life?

Couchgirl, it is feeling for me too. Two recent books I’ve liked a lot are The Water Dancer and The Underground Railroad.
Books that I want to talk to everyone about are the ones I recommend. Also book series that are like family to me, the ones I look forward to each .
I recommend a book if I think the other person would enjoy it and/or if I really want to discuss it.
If I didn’t want the book to end, that’s usually a good sign that I’ll end up recommending it to someone. I just finished, ‘My Sister, the Serial Killer’, and I absolutely didn’t want that to end!
I have to agree with the person who said feels. Can be sad, happy, angry etc.
Definingly if the book messes with my emotions! That’s usually a good indicator that the book was a good one!
