Ooo, I am SUPER excited for this month, I am already planning out a couple different paths to a BookishBingo! Hoping this will keep me motivated, as I have been feeling a little down with everything that is going on in these crazy times we are in.
Can you please elaborate on ā bought via indie bookstore websiteā. Could it be from just a bookstore, or does it specifically have to be from the website? Do people who sell used books on amazon through other sources count?
This is inspired by current events as most independent bookstores have had to close their stores to foot traffic. Itās very specific so you could classify a book youāve purchased from an indie bookstore or a bookstoreās website if you canāt achieve this prompt.
My first BookishBingo. Some tough prompts for me.
Oh, this is fun! My goal is to get through my current TBR list, and Iāve found some books to match up with a bingo row:
I used my points to redeem Goddess in the Machine, which I canāt wait to read! I hope it arrives before the end of April, but if it doesnāt then I plan to read The End of the Ocean by Maya Lunde instead.
I am trying to fill in the square āFeatured on BookishFirstā and am looking for Childrenās books. When I go under āBooksā and genre: āChildrenāsā, there are no entries. Am I not searching the right way? Thanks in advance!
You are searching correctly, however we havenāt had many Childrenās books. You can see the Middle Grade and YA books that weāve featured in their own categories.
It would be really cool if you had a Bookish Jr. or Bookish teen for young readers!
Thereās some difficult prompts on here, but I really like these. I like that they reflect whatās going on and also have it so we can support indie bookstores.
Alliteration in the title is a good prompt, but I canāt think of any off the top of my head. Iām so glad I had to read āCall of the Ravenā this month because I didnāt have any other books that were published in April. Usually those prompts are the hardest ones for me, because I try to always read new releases.
Just one more prompt to go. Hopefully will get this done in the next few days. Anyone else?
Almost there! Plan on reading Howl and Other Poems by Allen Ginsberg for the āpoetry or verse novelā prompt (even though itād also be a reread for me) and hopefully, if it arrives in time, Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston for the āpink coverā prompt.
