BookishFirst Summer of Giveaways (Mystery Book Bundle #4) 🗝️

The Invisible Life of Addie Larue was creepy yet wonderful.

I See You by Clare Mackintosh

My favorite eerie read is House of Leaves by Mark Daniekewski. So unsettling!

I liked The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein.

Coralline is a fave!!!

My favorite spooky read is definitely “The Shining” by Stephen King. I live in the Rocky Mountain region, not far from the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park (where Stephen King wrote The Shining, and where part of it was filmed).

The Shining by Stephen King. I was so happy to see that the movie version was just as unsettling and not so “Hollywood”-ish!

Honestly anything by Stephen King is super spooky. My most recent book from him that I found super spooky was Pet Semetary.

Salem’s Lot - I read it years ago but I am still afraid!

Final Girls by Riley Sager

One of the original spooky stories - The Exorcist. I could not be in the house by myself after reading this book, heard all sorts of noises, etc.

The Haunting of Hill House, for sure the spookiest!

My Cousin Rachel is probably my favorite spooky read.

The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell.

My favorite spooky read is House of Hollow.

I really like all of Stephen Kings novels for spooky reads !

The Library at Mount Char – a mix of genres but also spooky

Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier!

I recently read The Wife Between Us and loved it!

I really like the John Cleaver Series by Dan Wells. Even though the guy is a sociopath and he kind of wants to kill you, I still root for him. First book is I Am Not A Serial Killer. Great stuff. Still need to read the last book.
