I am going to follow everyone too! A question for those of you that have been #bookstagramming for longer… I just started last week and am getting followers. Lately I notice single middle aged men with private accounts and 0-15 followers. My teenager (aka technology consultant) says 'what does it matter, anyone can follow you." It just seems a little weird to me- is this common? Thoughts?

@julied they’re all over Twitter too. Apparently there are a lot of rich lonely surgeons and generals who are “honest men looking for a good woman.” 
They’re pretty much cat fishing accounts. I just don’t follow them back. Be prepared to delete all their “hi” DMs too

A lot of the time people are only interested in follow backs, and may unfollow you if you don’t. Otherwise a lot of the time these people are bots, designed to automatically follow random people. Not too sure, tho!

Oh yea i get those. i just block them. I’m not on it for followers and since my page isn’t private I block any that make me question whats on the other side

I’m SO over the bots… But I do giveaways at milestone follower amounts (my next is 500) so they just get me to give free books to someone sooner!
