For Bookish bingo , how can I find out if a book is in translation?

Do y’all have any recs?

I did The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu for my square - it was just okay in my opinion. I read Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind in the past few months and it was really weird but I don’t regret reading it. I also revisited The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank again recently, since I hadn’t read it since probably middle school - it’s good if you want to be really bummed out :frowning:

Some of the “maybes” I was thinking about were Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky, The Bat by Jo Nesbø (first book in the Harry Hole series) - I’ve read some of the series previously and I remember them being crazy weird, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson (if somehow you missed this craze back in the day), Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes, Battle Royale by Koushun Takami (I remember people saying how The Hunger Games was a ripoff of this), The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery…

Hope that helps!
