In my younger days I really enjoyed all the Victoria Holt books - I read them all.
But as a reread some of them, I found I did not enjoy them much anymore. We all grow up.
More recent read was ‘Outlaw in Paradise’ by Patricia Gaffney. Yes, it to is an older book 1997.
But that’s why we love used book stores. 
2023 releases I’m up for recommendations.
When I first started reading HRs, Johanna Lindsey was my go to author! I recently read the Bridgerton series and loved them all! A 2023 release I’m looking forward to reading In Her Highlander’s bed by Lynsay Sands.
I love historical romance. I really like Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas. I’m always looking for recommendations of other historical romance authors as well.
