Friday Question #226 - The Best Book of August

Finish this sentence:

The best book I read in August was…

Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver

My book came from the UK so I got it 2 weeks early and it was so freaking good! 5/5

I am torn between two books. I had an early copy of The More the Terrier by David Rosenfelt. It is book #30 in the Andy Carpenter series, which I love. I also read First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston. It was the first book I’ve read by this author and it was really well done. My favorite of the month would be one of those two.

The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. For me, it was one of those books that I kept thinking about after I finished it, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much I’d enjoyed the experience. I’ll read it again when the sequel comes out.

The best book I read in August was “Darling Girls” by Sally Hepworth. It was super intense, and the end was really shocking. I’ve read several other of her books, and they’re all wonderful.

“The Girl With The Louding Voice” by Abi Dare. This author is freaking creative and talented.

Both “The Wedding People” by Alison Espach and “The God of the Woods” by Liz Moore were my August favorites.
