No Bingo for me this month. But that’s okay! I still hit my goal at 10 books!

I wanted to start out the New Year a little stronger, but I also moved states and started a new job, so I’m giving myself a pass

LOL. I will freely admit that I bought this book and its sequel just because of their covers. They were too good to pass up.
I also have The Wizard’s Butler in my TBR, and I’m looking forward to reading it. I hadn’t heard of the other two, but I have now added them to my TBR. lol

Favorites:
The Stormlight Archives Series of books (Words of Radiance, Oathbringer, Rhythm of War - the .5 books were ok, but not favorites), The Martian (lived up to the hype), The Kite Runner (Also lived up to the hype and made me cry like, a lot)

Really good:
What I’ve read of the Lady Astronaut Series so far (The Calculating Stars, The Fated Sky) - I, for sure, would take Milltown too.
The Radium Girls - I feel like as a nation we’ve learned no lessons from this horrible tragedy and still let corporations run by horrible people get away with horrible things. That being said, the book was great.
I’ve now enjoyed a handful of books by Jess Lourey who is an author with several books available through Kindle Unlimited. They are usually pretty freaking dark, but she does a great job of keeping up my interest.

Disappointments:
A Master of Djinn - I was kind of excited about this one, I had just recently watched the genie episode of the X-Files and was in the mood for a similar story. This one didn’t fulfill what I was looking for.
John Dies at the End - Ugh, man. This one just begs you to pick it up and read the bizarre tale. It is a bizarre tale but one that I did not enjoy.
