I’m not sure if they play football on the page, but Not My Romeo by Ilsa Madden-Mills definitely has characters who play football (it’s a romance, one of the leads is a professional football player)
This is the first month that I’m not even trying the board so many super specific ones and I have neither romance nor memoirs, or anything where they’d play football or celebrate a new year next month!
