@christinasbooks I read The Devotion of Suspect X earlier this month and loved it!!! It’s a Japanese thriller by Keigo Higashino. Bonus: it is the first in a series of five. I did find it at my local library too.

I haven’t read it yet, but for deaf character, True Biz by Sarah Novic came up in a few of my searches so that’s what I’m going with for that prompt
